The following statistics are taken from the Police Department’s computer system that is compiled in the Police Information and Planning System software records management system. The following totals are for “Summary” classifications that encompass a number of similar type crimes; they also include attempted as well as actual offenses. Caution should be used when considering these numbers since the attempts are included.

The total statistics of all offenses and incidents investigated and handled by the Fremont Police Department in 2007 cover several pages of very small type. These statistics are available at the police department. For purposes of this report, only the Summary Totals were included for the Criminal Offenses section.
